Vegas Baby!

Here in the desert there is a little oasis not too far away where anything goes and the night blends into day. Where people lose it all or win big...VEGAS! Now being that I just returned from Vegas this Memorial Day Weekend I thought I would write a post about the Sin City. Ever since moving to Arizona I have headed to Vegas once or twice a year, it's such a short trip by car (4 1/2 hours) and even quicker flight (1 hour) and what's not to love about it? I have been there and done everything from clubbing all night, to gambling and winning big, to seeing breathtaking shows, to running in a marathon on the strip... I have even being in a Vegas wedding! What I love most about Vegas is that anything goes, and that means clothes as well!! Keeping this in mind here is what I recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting Las Vegas for a weekend bring!

Cheers to Vegas!
Short shorts: Since it's summer in the desert short shorts are a must for Vegas. You can wear the shorts for a day of walking the strip, to travel in, and to wear when you are grabbing a frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity 3 at Cesar's Palace.
Wearing the neon trend with my short shorts and belt- both from Target
A bikini and cover up: Pool parties are a way of life in Vegas, they are almost as popular as the actual clubs now! If you plan on hitting up Wet Republic or just lounging at your hotel's pool you are going to need a bikini and cover up, the skimpier the better...after all this is Vegas!! As for a cover up, plan on something you can walk around in since chances are you will be heading down the strip or at least down to the casino to get to your poolside oasis. See Summer Splash: Cover Up for cover up ideas to pack!

A maxi dress: While I do have a slight obsession with maxi dresses  they are perfect for daytime Vegas. While brunching, hitting the strip or gambling away your summer bonus they are effortlessly easy and also work great for traveling to and from Sin City. See Maxied Out for maxi dress ideas to pack!

A hot little dress: You never know what you are going to be doing in Vegas, and a little dress to wear will always be useful no matter what you plan on doing. I wore my dress for a late dinner at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Cesar's Palace and then the Chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan.

For this trip I choose a striped French Connection Dress
Wedges: I love super high heels and I especially love super high heels for Vegas, but the truth of the matter is whenever I try to pull them off I end up with blisters and sore feet for the rest of my trip. I highly recommend wedges for Vegas as you will be walking a ton and they can still be sexy and give you a little but more dressed up look. I wore these wedges all weekend.
