Red, White and Blueberry Dessert

In honor of Memorial Day here is a healthy retake on an all American dessert! I just recently made this for friends during a BBQ and it was a big hit, and best of all-- so easy and relatively healthy!

What you will need:

Store bought or homemade Angle food cake
2 pints strawberries
2 pints blueberries
1 small can of sweetened condensed nonfat milk
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 package sugar free and fat free white chocolate pudding mix
12 oz. Cool Whip Free (thawed)

What to do

For the cream filling:
Whisk the cold water and the sweetened condensed milk in a bowl for 2 minutes. Then slowly add the pudding mixture while still whisking. Let it sit for 2 minutes to set. Slowly fold in whipped topping.

Cut the angle food cake into cubes and wash and cut up the strawberries.
Arrange 1/2 of the cubes on the bottom of the dish
Put 1 pint of the blueberries on the top of the angle food cake
On top of the blueberries put 1/2 of the creamy filling on top
Layer 1 pint of strawberries on top of the cream filling

Put the rest of the angle food cake on top of the strawberries
Add more blueberries on top of the angle food cake
Then put the remaining cream mixture on top of the angle food cake
Then add the remaining blueberries and strawberries in a decorative fashion!

You can put yours in a trifle jar, or a plain pan, I put mine in a pitcher, eat and enjoy!

***UPDATE***

I made this in a cake pan and used the strawberries on top to decorate!
