Getting Organized

I am in a major reorganization mode right now, trying to get my closet under control. In order to get this  accomplished I took a trip to my local Container Store and spent waaay to much time there looking at all the fabulous organizing tools and gadgets. Two hours and a too much money later my car was filled with everything I needed to get organized in my closet. Here are some of the best things I picked up to use in my master closet.

Travel sized

Traveling so much I pick up tons of super cute mini shampoos, lotions, conditioners, etc. I always HAVE to take them with me when I check out- but then ended up storing them in drawers and never using them. Until I came up with a creative and cute way to store them, and have them always available for my guests!

Make up your make up brushes!

A great way to keep your makeup brushes is out in the open on your bathroom counter! No more messy drawers searching for the liquid eyeliner brush- get your brushes out where you can see them!

Beachy Keen Bedroom

This summer if you can't head to the beach, make your bedroom your summer oasis! I love the feeling a seaside inspired bedroom gives you. Even if you are in the middle of the city, you can make it feel as though you are summering at a beachside cottage with the right accessories and color scheme. Get ready to be washed away!

Napkin Holder Catch-All

Now I never claimed to be crafty (I will leave that to my fellow blogget) but I have been known to put some everyday items to use in different and unusual ways that work for a room in my home. My latest use has been to convert a wicker napkin holder in to a catch-all for my loving (and somewhat messy) hubby.

OCD free- finally the mess is organized!

Summer Splash: Adding Turquoise to your Home

One of the ways I love to get ready for summer is with my house. Even before school's out and suddenly our quiet street is transformed into a kiddie play land my house is ready for summer. Every year I try to add little simple touches to make my home feel more summery. This year the color of summer is turquoise. Adding some simple updates can make any room feel more summer ready--no matter where you live. I love the vibe you can get in a room by a simple turquoise addition.  Here are some great finds for adding turquoise to your home!
